The Impact of Music on our Lives

Music has been an integral part of my life for many years. It is one of my greatest influences and defines me as a person. It has helped me become the person I am today and the person I want to be in the future. Music gives me the strength to keep pushing forward and achieve my goals. It also helps me believe that I can change the world. Sometimes I feel an overwhelming rush of emotions in my life and don’t know what to do. Music is my salvation. Music helps me make sense of the world. Music allows me to express my emotions. Music allows me to see the world through a different lens. This can be positive or negative, depending on my mood. When I feel depressed or discouraged, it is because the world around me has turned its back on me, I turn to slow, sad, and depressing music. Songs with meaningful lyrics are my favourite. They make me think about who I want to be and what role or purpose I have in the world. Or how you can affect others. This is my favourite kind of music. There are times when I want to laugh and dance to my favourite tunes. These times I prefer a completely different type of music. You could listen to pop, electronic, punk or all of these. My mood determines my music preference, which changes with each day. People may have said that music is essential for their lives. Many people say many things, but most of them are false. IT’S TRUE when I say it is impossible to live without music. I don’t recall the last time I didn’t listen to music. I can’t imagine a day that goes by without listening to music. I will open iTunes on my laptop if my iPod crashes. If iTunes isn’t working, I’ll log onto Youtube and search for a song on that site. If the internet goes down, I will pull out my Walkman and put a CD in it. If my CD is damaged, I will turn on the radio until the song I desire appears. My point is to show that music never ceases to be my passion. You fight for something you love, no matter what obstacles you face. This is why I love music so much and feel the need to share my thoughts about it. If you care deeply about something and are passionate about it, like I am, you will be able to discuss it for hours. It’s endless. It’s an endless cycle with music. My alarm clock is the first thing I hear when I wake up each morning. It changes depending on the song that I am listening to. Next, I go to school. Although I’m not allowed to listen to music on any technological device, I do have a playlist of my favourite songs that I play on my little radio called “Lindsey’s Greatest Hits.” I sing these songs throughout the class, speeches, and every day. Because I love the sound and the message they convey to me, I write down the lyrics to songs that I sing in my head. When I get home from school, the first thing that I do when I return is listen to music. Even before I go to sleep, I listen to music in the dark, even if it isn’t on the TV or radio. The lyrics of songs I hear give me a great source of inspiration and a sense of hope for my future. It’s hard to believe that some people can live their lives without any music. My parents always tell me to stop listening to music because I have been listening too much or too loud. I look at them dumbfounded, astonished at their inability to see the importance of music in my life. Lindsey, I don’t know how you can listen to music so often. They ask me daily if I ever get tired of listening to music. Because I cannot understand their questions, I find it difficult to comprehend why anyone would not listen to music every day. It is the only thing we have, and it stays with us everywhere we go. It’s like having a good memory. It will stay with you forever and can’t be taken away by anyone. When you have let go of all other things, a memory is all that you have left. Music is the same. Music is the only thing that will stay with you forever. Music is the only thing that will stay with you no matter what. Friends change, seasons change, bruises disappear… but music will always be there for your every need. Music is the only thing you can rely on to be there for you, even when all else has gone. Music is what I love so much. I won’t lie when I tell you that I feel deeply sorry for those who claim they don’t like or listen to music. I can’t comprehend how someone could not enjoy music and the beautiful lyrics. This idea is beyond comprehension for me. Music is a powerful force in my life. Without it, I don’t know what you would do. You don’t need anything else. You can’t bear to go through your daily life without knowing that there is always someone to look out for you, understand you and help you see the big picture. Music does this for us. I believe that people who don’t feel the warmth of music’s embrace are not connected to or relate to it. Everybody has at least one song that best describes them. It is the song that defines who they truly are as individuals and people. One hasn’t lived a full life if they haven’t found the song that describes them. What kind of life would it be worth living without music? My greatest wish is that everyone can feel and see the beauty and power of music and its immense impact on their lives. Music brings love into a world filled with hatred. Music brings peace to the corrupt society where we live. Music brings life to those who feel dead or hopeless.
